Back to School
As summer ended, the Constable Precinct 5 Community Outreach Team kicked off the school year
by supporting students and educators across Travis County through our annual Back-to-School
Supply Drive.
Thanks to the generosity of our community and the hard work of our team, we delivered backpacks,
school supplies, and encouragement to students at Wooten Elementary, T.A. Brown Elementary,
and Webb-Ready College Prep Middle School.
Teamwork in Action
Led by Corporal Shelby Criswell, the outreach team also included Shantel Brentham, Sgt. Smith,
Deputy Rodrigo Serpas, Deputy Anthony McCauley, and Sgt. Robert Cantu. Their efforts made a
tangible impact on dozens of students, helping them start the year feeling confident and cared for.
Special thanks to Sr. Deputy Lydia Barron, who helped distribute supplies at Webb Middle School
alongside Corporal Criswell.
Support From the Community
We are especially grateful to our generous partners:
• Jasmine with North Austin Toyota, who donated school supplies to help set students up for
success.
• Marcia with People Helping People (PHP), who donated backpacks and contributed a generous
monetary donation to support our outreach efforts.
These donations—big and small—helped ensure that students had the tools they needed for a
strong start to the year.
Looking Ahead
Constable Carlos B. Lopez and the entire CN5 team are proud to support our local schools, families,
and future leaders. We look forward to continuing these efforts throughout the year as part of our
ongoing mission to serve the community with compassion and care.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this Back-to-School season a success!
