Accessible Parking
Tax-Free Weekend in Texas is always a busy time for shoppers, and a critical time to remind the
public about the importance of respecting accessible parking laws.
Sev eral Precinct 5 deputies and volunteers were out in full force during the weekend, patrolling
shopping centers and high-traffic areas to ensure accessible parking spaces remained open for
those who need them most.
Our presence serves as both a reminder and a reinforcement of the law:
Parking in a designated accessible spot without a proper placard or license plate can result in a
$500 fine.
We appreciate the cooperation of our community members and local businesses during this
high-volume weekend. Keeping accessible spaces available isn’t just about the law, it’s about
respect, inclusion, and safety.
Thank you to all who made thoughtful choices while
shopping and helped protect access for individuals with
disabilities.
Ribbon Cutting
The Travis County Constable Precinct 5 team was honored to attend the grand opening and
ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new PHP Financial Services location. This special event
marked an exciting milestone for a valued community partner committed to empowering
individuals and families through financial education and resources.
During the celebration, our team received a guided tour of the new facility and had the
opportunity to meet the dedicated staff who make PHP’s mission possible. We’re grateful for
the warm welcome and proud to support an organization that continues to make a
meaningful difference in our community.
Congratulations to PHP Financial Services on this achievement! We look forward to
watching your continued growth and the lasting impact you’ll have across Travis County.
