E-Filing

Travis County District and County Courts receive electronic filings through eFileTexas, the new e-File system for civil court documents.

How does this affect you? Filings need to be submitted electronically so you must be able to upload searchable .PDF files to one of several electronic filing service providers (EFSPs) including the public eFile.TXCourts.gov . They will forward your documents to the District or County Clerk’s office.

Each website allows you to select "Service - Constable" as the method of delivery. But be sure to look for an additional box labeled “Special Instructions” or “Filing Comments” and type in: Please use Constable Pct. 5 for service. This will ensure that we receive your paper and you will have our 24/7 on-line Service Check and instant email notification service* available for your case.

HELP FOR NAVIGATING THE E-FILING PROCESS
If you use one of the commercial EFSPs to file with the Travis County courts, we have help documents that will provide an overview of the filing process and selecting Constable 5 for service, just email us at [email protected] and specify which service you use. We'll send you a .PDF guide by return email.
