Constable 5 deputies are uniquely involved in the Underage Drinking Prevention Program (UDPP) created by the Travis County Attorney's Office. After receiving training, our officers have gone out to local middle and high schools to share a video, make a presentation and answer questions. All of this helps students to make better decisions when confronted with today's easy access to alcohol at a young age. They learn ways to avoid becoming an accident statistic or ending up in a detention facility.

Texas leads the nation in the number of youth fatalities in alcohol related crashes (NHTSA). The UDPP expects to make a significant contribution in saving the lives of teenagers by discouraging underage drinking consumption.
