As a member of the Austin/Travis County Family Violence Task Force, Constable Pct. 5 is dedicated to domestic violence awareness and education in our community.

In partnership with the Austin/Travis County Family Violence Task Force, Constable Lopez is co-chairing "Men as Allies." This group  focuses on education and awareness for men in our community. As with many resources and outreach for women, this is the perfect opportunity to get more men involved.

In 2024, Texas Association of Counties recognized Men As Allies as a “Best Practices” program and shared with 254 counties across the State of Texas.    

Men As Allies encourages young men to:

1. Protect people who are vulnerable
2. Build healthy relationships
3. Be accountable
4. Trust and support one another
5. Speak up, it will matter!

Men As Allies is a non-profit 501-c3 organization.
